Why word order matters

Whether you’re revising for AQA German or Edexcel German exams, word order is essential. Exams rarely test grammar directly. Instead, certain sentences and questions are worded in such away that they deviate from standard word order (e.g. Subject+verb+indirect object+time/place+direct object) by placing one of the two objects at the start and the subject in third position. So, read texts and questions carefully!
